The Asia Cup 2023 Super Four match between India and Pakistan had a reserve day.

Everyone hopes that the Asia Cup 2023 final between India and Sri Lanka at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo will go off without a rain delay or interruption, unlike the last match between India and Bangladesh. The match between India and Bangladesh is still the only one in the Sri Lankan competition that has gone on without a rain delay or interruption. Rain has hampered every game played in Kandy and Colombo, Sri Lanka. The two most successful teams in the continent will compete for the most prestigious Asia Cup title on September 17.

Is there a reserve day for IND vs SL Asia Cup 2023 final?

Fans will be wondering what would happen if it rains as the prospect of rain is present. Similar to how they did for the India vs. Pakistan Super 4, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has set up a reserve day for the Asia Cup 2023 championship match. The only two games in the tournament with a reserve day scheduled are these two. In the event of a complete washout, the game will be played on Monday, September 18. And even if some action takes place, the game will pick up the following day from that point. On reserve day, there is an 80% chance of rain as well.

Even though it rained heavily in Sri Lanka, only one fight ended in Kandy with no chance of a resolution. Two teams advanced for the finals with their full points, not shared, despite the fact that all matches endured weather delays, interruptions, flash showers, and reserve days. With the exception of India vs. Pakistan, which was contested in the Group stage in Kandy, the Sri Lankan grounds crew has received high appreciation for their ongoing dedication at Pallekele Stadium and R Premadasa Stadium.

Heavy rains before the toss in Sri Lanka's virtual semifinal match against Pakistan prevented a 42-over game, but the ground staff's efforts made it possible. The game lasted a while and was over at one in the morning. To go to the final, Sri Lanka defeated Pakistan in a thrilling match. India's victories over Pakistan and Sri Lanka in the Super 4 round secured their place in the championship game. Both sides have prior injuries, with Axar Patel likely to be out due to several aches and pains. Due to a hamstring injury, Maheesh Theekshana will miss the championship, SLC stated in a release.
